The Head of Communications for Medeama Sporting Club, Patrick Akoto is optimistic the Appeals Committee of the GFA will overturn the ruling of the Disciplinary Committee concerning the replay of their game against Elmina Sharks.
In what Patrick Akoto describes as a “kindergarten” and “school boy” decision by the Disciplinary Committee, he believes the ruling was made to favour other people in football.
“The laws are so clear as white as a snow that three points and three goals. As to how long they will ban the Nduom Stadium is left to be determined by the GFA but when the laws are made to favor other people is very bad,” Akoto bemoaned.
“We are waiting for the appeals committee and we’re hopeful they’ll overturn this “kindergarten and school boy” decision by the Disciplinary Committee,” he added.
Medeama are not ready to honour the replay game against Elmina Sharks anytime soon as they have placed “stay of execution” on the game until the final decision by the Appeals Committee is made.
