Accra Hearts of Oak have criticized ace journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye Group for impersonation during his investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football.
The Phobians stated that it was wrong for the astute journalist and his Tiger Eye Company to use their name for their dealings without their prior consent.
“While we were pleased and not surprised that no official of the club was implicated in the report, we are deeply disturbed that Accra Hearts of Oak SC was used by actors planted by the production company to serve their purpose.” CEO of the club Mark Noonan wrote in a press release on Thursday
“This unauthorized use of imposters posing as Club Officials is not something we would ever condone and we strongly condemn it,”
Anas and his people acted as Accra Hearts of Oak officials and paid bribe to referees such as Samuel Suker and others to influence the outcome of their games.
