Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Fatawu Mohammed insists the demand for a win by their supporters aided them to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League week 10 fixture.
Fatawu revealed that the heat was on them and they had no alternative than to go all out for the three maximum points in the topliner against Kotoko.
“Games between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak isn’t an easy game and winning against Kotoko is good for us. The drew we had here last week made our supporters put pressure on us. They put fear in us and I think this gingered us for this victory.” Fatawu stated after the game.
Hearts of Oak won the game 1-0 through a superb Patrick Razak second half strike. The win has seen the Phobians moved to 10th on the league log with 14 points.
