Jiangsu Suning striker Richmond Boakye will receive a Serbian Super League winners medal despite leaving the club in the winter 2018 transfer window.

Boakye, 25, was the arrowhead of Redstar Belgrade in the Serbian topflight and he netted 15 goals in fourteen league games before moving to China in a 7 million Euros deal in January.

Per the regulations governing the Serbian Superleague, Boakye is entitled to a winners medal as he played above the quoted needed to take medal.

The Ghanaian is likely to be flown in by Redstar Belgrade for the coronation. He will also take an award as Redstar’s top scorer of the season
