The talk about the Ghana Premier League not having sponsorship is set to end as a representative of Zylofon Media, which is owned by businessman, Nana Appiah Mensah has announced that, their outfit will be sponsoring the country’s elite football league.
“Nana Appiah Mensah says I should inform you that Zylofon Media will be sponsoring the Ghana Premier League” the representative of Zylofon Media said on Saturday to a rapturous applause from players of the national U-17 and U-20 teams who are camping at Prampram.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has come under constant flak for its inability to secure sponsorship for the competition but the frequent criticism could now be over. Most importantly, Premier League clubs could as well receive something good financially to support their work.
Nana Appiah Mensah, who owns Division One side, Star Madrid was at the camp of the two national teams with a host of officials including GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi. A video of the Zylofon Media representative talking about the would-be sponsorship captures the GFA President and Nana Appiah shaking hands with smiles all over their faces.
