Medeama have filed a protest at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) against Elmina Sharks demanding that, they are awarded three points and three goals in the aborted Ghana Premier League match day eight fixture on Wednesday at the Nduom Stadium, Elmina.
According to the release by the Tarkwa based club, the conduct of Elmina Sharks supporters which saw them hitting Referee Nuhu Liman with stones consequently injuring him and causing the discontinuation of the game, is unjustified.
“It is our submission that Elmina Sharks failed woefully to control their supporters, again failed to provide adequate security before, during and after the game” said Medeama as they quoted the GFA’s General Regulations Article 35(4) which provides that: “The Association shall hold clubs responsible for misconduct of their supporters before, during and after a match”.
