What has prevented Hearts of Oak from performing well in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League may be spiritual after all as the club’s assistant coach, Edward Nii Odoom is calling for prayers to help the team.
Nii Odoom said the challenges the club is going through will be over with prayers – to get the team back to its winning ways. “The boys need prayers, that’s all! They are doing their best so what we all need now is prayers. Everyone who loves Hearts of Oak should do what he’s supposed to do and all shall be well. It’s a storm but we shall overcome it.
“We have Christians, Muslims, Buddhist and if you’re a supporter of the club, go on your needs and pray for the club. It’s a storm and we shall overcome it” the coach told Kumasi based OTEC FM.
Edward Nii Odoom stepped was the man in charge of the team when they lost 3-1 to Karela United on match day eight. Head coach Henry Wellington was indisposed. Hearts of Oak have won three, drawn one and lost four of their eight matches scoring 10 goals and conceding 13. They are 9th on the league table.
