The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has asked the Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang to proceed on suspension following the ongoing investigations into the 2018 Commonwealth Games visa racketeering.
Footballmadeinghana.com understand that Baah Agyemang who was outside Ghana arrived on Tuesday Afternoon and was immediately summoned by the President to his office during which he was handed his lay off letter.
Baah Agyemang becomes the third person to be handed suspension in the case with the others being the deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Pius Hadzide as well as Acting Director General of the National Sports Authority Robert Sarfo Mensah.
It will be recalled that over sixty Ghanaians were sent back home from Australia after posing as media men to cover the Commonwealth games.
It has already established that those people who are not in the journalism fraternity paid huge sums of money to top officials in Government and also the National Sports Authority to get their visa facilitated.
