Kumasi Asante Kotoko central defender Nafiu Awudu maintains that it will be a different ball game altogether on Sunday when his outfit play as guest to Dreams FC at Dawu.
Awudu who featured when Dreams FC defeated Kotoko by a lone goal to nothing in the Top 8 clash reiterated that it was just a preparatory game as the league is the real deal.
“Top eight was trial games for both clubs but this particular game is the premier league and it is different,” Nafiu told footballmadeinghana.com
“Both teams are preparing well to win but it is not going to be easy. At the end, the good side is Kotoko will carry the day,”
The towering defender also mentioned that all the teams give Kotoko stiffer opposition because they know the pedigree of the club.
“All the clubs have prepared well for the season and playing against Kotoko is different from the other teams. All of them do extra work before they meet us. There is no pressure on playing Dreams and I am sure just as we did during the 2015/2016 we will beat them again in Dawu,”
Kotoko and Dreams FC have met three times with the Reds winning two and Dreams winning once. Surprisingly, all the scores have been 1-0 with the goals coming at odd minutes namely under one minute in Dawu, as well as 89th and 44th minute in Kumasi.
