The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association has dismissed Referee Prince Amoah’s appeal against the decision of the Match Review Committee on his indefinite suspension over his poor performance in the Ghana Premier League match, between Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium last year.

The controversial referee ran to the Appeals Committee of the FA seeking a reversal of the Match Review Committee’s ruling on him. However, the Appeals Committee in its ruling published on the GFA’s website, said, the Match Review Committee were right with their decision to indefinitely suspend him.

“In real case, an indefinite suspension is given when a case is still pending with the judicial body. As soon as a decision is arrived at, a definite decision is given. I therefore wish to state that my case is not different since it is not pending” Referee Amoah claimed in his appeal.

But the Appeals Committee pointed out that: “The Match Review Committee did not err in recommending indefinite suspension of the appellant to the Executive Committee…”

“We are satisfied that the Match Review Committee is not in error and this Committee has no reason to interfere with the decision of the aforesaid Committee.

“The Committee hereby dismisses the appeal brought by the appellant” it noted.
