When the 2017/18 season gets underway, Asante Kotoko Head Coach, Steven Polack will be unable to sit on the team’s bench following a three-match ban slapped on him by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for misconduct.
The coach has as well been fined a total of GHȼ4,000 for two misconduct offences and in another instance warned to be of good behavior. This was contained in decisions taken by the Disciplinary Committee dated December 20, 2017.
Number two of the Disciplinary Committee’s decision notes that, the Kotoko coach “Rushed onto field of play” during the Bechem United-Asante Kotoko league match at Bechem in “Breach of Article 35(7) (A & D) and 35(9) of the General Regulations” for which reason he was fined GHȼ2,000 and also warned.
Coach Steven Polack is again cited in decision number 15, where he’s sanctioned for three matches and also fined GHȼ2,000 for “Using insulting words against a match official” in the Asante Kotoko- Berekum Chelsea league match in Kumasi in contravention of Article 35(1) (A & B) of the General Regulations and Article 66 of the DC.
According the Disciplinary Committee, the “Decisions are subject to appeal by parties to the Appeals Committee”.
