The Chairman of the National Circles Council (NCC) of Asante Kotoko, Kwaku Amponsah has dismissed suggestions that, the supporters’ body went against the Management of the club to sign a sponsorship deal with Charger Limited producers of Happy Man Bitters.
He said, claims that they didn’t involve the Management of the club had no correct basis. The NCC recently sealed a two-year-contract with the beverage company after weeks of unhealthy squabbling between the Management and the supporters’ body.
In an interview with Kumasi based Adehye FM, Kwaku Amponsah, popularly called K5 said they did nothing wrong in signing the contract, which he said was to support the Circles’ activities.
“Our core duty is to strategise and organise ourselves well and be available during Kotoko matches; to support and cheer the team. Management can choose to involve us during their activities and the Circles are always available to help in the progress of the club if needed” said the supporters’ chairman.
