The FA Cup Committee has resolved to have the Len Clay Stadium run on an emergency power plant throughout the Super Sunday clashes.
Hearts of Oak will be facing off against Wa All Stars in the 3pm kickoff of the first semi final tie of this year’s MTN FA Cup Competition with Asante Kotoko and Medeama playing in the other fixture at the same venue under floodlights.
Organizers have moved to ensure there is no interruption in power supply for Super Sunday – especially with one of the games being played in the evening – hence the decision to have the stadium run on a gen set.
A similar approach was adopted in the 2015 final staged at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium.
The FA Cup remains one of the best run competitions on the local scene with the competition undergoing through several innovations since it was resurrected in 2010.
