Dreams FC will take a giant step towards qualification to the Ghana Premiership this weekend when they face relegation-threatened Okwahu United in a Ghana National Division One League game on Sunday.
Dreams are on top of the table with 67 points after 27 games and will be hoping to grab the three maximum points at stake whilst Okwahu are 13th on the league log with 27 points.
The first round game between the two side’s at the Oda Park ended 1-0 in favor of Dreams with Cudjoe Mensah scoring the goal and the Dawu-based club will be looking forward to complete a double over their regional rivals.
Dreams have been outstanding this season winning all their home games whilst Okwahu have been porous away from home losing more than sixty percent of their encounters.
Technical director of Dreams, Manuel Zacarias might assemble the same squad he used to get a draw against Okyeman Planners at Dawu with Jalilu Alhassan who missed that game through injury looking likely to make his way back into the starting XI.
On paper, Dreams FC are firm favorites to carry the day and they must be able to live up to expectation if they eschew complacency.
A defeat will see Okwahu dropping deeply into the relegation zone based on the outcome of the other games.
