Brighton’s potential move for FC Zurich’s Raphael Dwamena is now off after the player failed a medical.

A fee had been agreed for the 21 year old but the deal remained subject to a successful medical and a UK work permit, but earlier today he failed that medial so Brighton have withdrawn from the deal.

There are no further details supplied but Brighton’s statement does wish the player the best for his future.

It was reported that the deal could’ve been worth £13.8million but we will now no doubt look elsewhere as manager Chris Hughton looks to further strengthen the squad.
