Ghana striker David Opoku put up a man of the match performance for Muaither SC on his debut as they drew 1-1 with Al Sadd in a pre-season friendly.
Opoku who joined Muaither SC as a free agent few weeks ago was a torn in the flesh of the Al Sadd defenders as he set up Simak Mohsen’s equalizer in the 77th minute after the champions had taken a 34th minute lead through Meshaal Al-Shammari.
The Ghanaian attacker won applauds from his Coach Philip Birol and he is ready to build on it for the coming season.
“It was a great game for us, I am glad with the performance, this is just a trial game and I hope I can even do more when the league begins,” Opoku told footballmadeinghana.com
The former Ghana Under 23 striker will be the main man in attacker for Muaither SC as they seek to cement their stay in the topflight.
