Owner of Ghana Premier League club Elmina Sharks, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has expressed worry about how the country’s Football Association does not pay attention to the promotion of the league.
Nduom believes the league is not getting to many intended target because of lack of proper advertisement.
“The GFA doesn’t promote the league and the money they make must be invested in promoting it. Is should not always be about national team and attending FIFA Congress here and there, the most important thing is to promote the domestic league,” Nduom stated.
“Before my team Elmina Sharks will play, I start promoting the game from Wednesday to create awareness and to bring the fans to the stadium to watch. We go around Sekondi, Elmina, Cape Coast and they do come to watch us which makes the game exciting,”
“The FA responsibility is to promote the league in order to pull the crowd to the stadium. No company is ready to sponsor the league because the stadiums are always empty,”
Nduom who owns GN Bank is the headline sponsor of the National Division One.
