Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah will take the place of Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento in the Mamelodi Sundowns squad for the 2017/2018 season.
Footballmadeinghana.com understand that Nascimento will be out for six months due to a knee injury and his spot in the foreign players quota will be taken by Brimah.
According to the PSL rules, no club is to register more than five foreign players and Sundowns already had more five before they acquired the Ghanaian.
Fiston Abdul Razak (Burundi), Mogakolodi Ngele (Botswana), Kudakwashe Mahachi and Cuthbert Malajila (both Zimbabwe),Nascimento, Yannick Zakri, Bangaly Soumahoro (both Ivory Coast), Leonardo Castro (Colombia), Fares Hachi (Algeria), are the foreigners in the team.
Players such as Denis Onyango (Uganda), Kennedy Mweene (Zambia), Khama Billiat (Zimbabwe), and Anthony Laffor (Liberia), are registered as locals having been in SA for more than five years.
Nascimento joined Sundowns from Portuguese Primeira Liga side Acedemica de Coimbra during the summer of 2016 but has been battling various injuries since then.
