The 2017 Ghana MTN FA Cup quarter finals draw took place at the M-Plaza hotel in Accra on Tuesday afternoon with some interesting pairings.
In the Northern Zone, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will welcome high-flying Wamanafo Nea Salamina FC who are on top of the Ghana National Division One Zone One League to the Baba Yara Stadium.
In the Southern Zone, 2015 winners Medeama who have not fared well this season face a dicey duel as they play as guest to Amidaus Professionals. The game is very tricky for the home side as they have been struggling in most of their games at the TNA Park.
However, with home advantage, the Mauves are expected to sail through to the next stage.
Elsewhere at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak are expected to annihilate Danbort to make it to the next stage. The game is seen as a David and Goliath affair with Danbort not faring too well in the second-tier league. Notwithstanding, the Phobians must how eschew complacency as Danbort knocked out a Premiership Club in the shape of Liberty Professionals in the round of 16.
Lastly, defending Ghana Premier League champions will host Berekum Chelsea in the Upper East Region. This is one game which could go either way despite All Stars playing at home.
Chelsea humiliated 2016 FA Cup winners Bechem United by four goals to one in the previous round.
The games will be played on the 29th and 30th day of July.
