Ghana left-back Abdul Rahman Baba is set to join Bundesliga club Schalke 04 on loan for one more season as he seeks to get back to his best after his career-threatening knee injury.
Baba joined the Gelsinkirchen-based side last July on loan from Chelsea but got injured in January during the African Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon and could not feature for them again.
The 23-year-old has returned to his parent club but footballmadeinghana.com understands that he will be given to the Royal Blues again for 12 months in the coming days.
Everton, Newcastle and Bournemouth were said to be interested in him but going back to a familiar territory to get back on track after six months lay off made him to opt for Schalke.
