Ghana striker John Antwi netted a sensational hattrick on Thursday evening as his side Misr El Meqasa humiliated visiting Al Nasr Taa’den by four goals to one in the Egyptian League week 32 clash.
Antwi has netted 10 goals so far in 14 league games for Meqasa since his January loan move from champions Nadi Al Ahly.
The in form striker tormented the Taa’den defenders at the Al Fayoum Stadium and won a standing ovation from both fans as he went for the match ball.
Antwi opened the scoring for Meqasa in the 23rd minute with a cool finish after his side had dominated proceedings right from the on set.
Ahmed El Sheikh made it 2-0 for Meqasa in the 34th minute but Ahmed Shahat reduced the deficit for his side four minutes later before the Ghanaian striker netted his second on the day fourteen minutes after recess.
Abd Almawgood Ahmed who could not contain Antwi brought down the centre forward in the penalty box and the former Dreams FC star sent the opposing goalkeeper the wrong way to complete his hattrick in the 93rd minute.
Al Meqasa are now having 71 points and are guaranteed a champions league spot as they lead third-placed Zamalek by eight points with just a game to go.
