GHALCA chairman Cudjoe Fianoo has given reasons why the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi was chosen for this year’s President Cup game.
The annual event is being held at Baba Yara Stadium for the first time and Fianoo has revealed that the sponsors of the game made that choice.
“The sponsors want a fully-packed stadium and they believe the Kumasi fans can do that at Baba Yara,” Fianoo told footballmadeinghana.com
“GHALCA is given GHC 50,000 to the participating teams as appearance fee for preparation. The competition is being sponsored by UBA and ANFD International,”
The match will be played on July 2 with President Akufo-Addo expected to grace the occasion.
