English Premier League side Stoke City have officially contacted Greek giants Panathenaikos over the availability of Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso.
According to Greek tabloid Sentinel, the Potters are keen on signing Wakaso this summer and have inquired about him officially from his parent club.
Wakaso whose contract with Panathenaikos ends in the summer of 2019 is bent on leaving following the club’s inability to pay his wages and Stoke City provides a perfect avenue for him.
The former Espanyol player spent last season on loan at Granada and will return to Panathenaikos for pre-season before a final decision is teaken on him.
