Red Star Belgrade centre-back Abraham Akwasi Frimpong has emphasized that his target is to at least get to the group stage of the 2017/2018 Europa League.
The 24-year-old was signed by the Red-whites during the 2017 January transfer window and made 18 league appearances as his team finished second in the Serbian Superliga.
The former Vicenza Calcio and Napredak defender will be playing in his first Europa League campaign and has emphasized getting to the group stage will be his priority.
“This is going to be my first Europa League outing and I am very glad for that,” Frimpong told footballmadeinghana.com
“I’m looking forward to get to the group stages then we will see what happens next,”
Frimpong was the vice captain of fellow Superliga side Napredak Krusevac and made over 90 appearances for them before being signed by Red Star in January this year.
