Ghana enforcer Daniel Kofi Agyei is ready to claim a permanent place in the Benevento team following their promotion to the Serie A.

Agyei, 25, was the kingpin of the Benevento side during their time at Lega Promo but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Casertana and Ancona respectively where he has put up excellent performances.

With his parent club securing top flight football, Agyei who will return to their fold for pre-season is eager to fight for a place in the team in Serie A.

“l was on loan but was still following the performance of my mother club (Benevento) very keenly ” Agyei told Favanz Sports.

“It was so exciting seeing my Ghanaian compatriot Raman Chibsah and Bright Gyamfi help qualify the team to serie A first time in the history of the club ”
