Ghana defender Abraham Akwasi Frimpong has returned to his club Red Star Belgrade for pre-season after his summer holidays in Ghana.
The talented central defender flew from Accra on Monday night to Serbia as he gets set to begin a new season with the Serbian giants.
Frimpong, 24, was signed by Red Star during the 2017 January transfer window and has been a pillar at the back for the Belgrade-based club making 16 Superliga appearances as they qualified for the Europa league and also finished second in the Serbian Cup.
The former Vicenza Calcio and Napredak stopper will be one of the key men Manager Vladen Milojevic will look up to as he seeks to wrestle the title from Partizan Belgrade and also make an impact in the Europa League.
“I am looking forward to my first full season with Red Star and I am hoping to do my best both in the domestic competitions and in the Europa league as we want to win laurels,” Frimpong told footballmadeinghana
The talented defender is one of the players who could break into the Ghana senior national team soon.
