Aduana Stars head coach Yussif Abubakar says over confidence on the part of his boys was the reason why they could not beat Kotoko.
Abubakar is convinced that his players were too complacent and that caused them dearly as Kotoko run away with a goalless draw scoreline on Monday.
“The boys took the game so easy but playing Kotoko is not an easy game irrespective of how badly they performed in the first round,” Abubakar emphasized
“In fact losing points at home means I have lost the game and I’m very disappointed. If only we want to win the league then we must wake up and work hard,”
A win over Kotoko could have seen Aduana Stars at par with league leaders WAFA on 36 points though they have lesser goal difference.
