Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has pointed out that there is no impasse between him and his deputy Andre Ayew.

Gyan indicated that the media are creating tension as he and Andre are very cordial.

“I don’t have any issue with Dede Ayew, rather it is the media who are trying to create it” Gyan mentioned

“We are nice in camp, we talk to each and I don’t see where all this are coming from. I always call his father and he also calls anytime because I have liked him since his playing days,”

“I didn’t give him the armband because it has been customized not because there is an issue,”

Gyan has been under incessant pressure from the Ghanaian media since Sunday when he wore a customized armband in Ghana’s 2019 AFCON qualifiers.

The Black Stars skipper when he was been substituted went with the band and Andre his deputy had to go for a different band from the bench.
