Kwesi Appiah was on his feet for the entire duration of Ghana’s thumping start to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on Sunday.
The 56-year-old abandoned his seat on the technical bench as he remained standing in his technical area to guide Ghana to a resounding 5-0 win before a near packed crowd in Kumasi.
Appiah refused to take his seat even when his charges had clearly gotten the job done with some few minutes of play left.
The former Al Khartoum coach preferred to pace around his technical area issuing out instructions to ensure his first game on his return to the Black Stars job was flawless.
This is contrary to Appiah’s posture during his first stint in charge where he will most of the time be on his seat and come out to issues instructions occasionally.
Perhaps it is one of the many changes noted with the second coming of Appiah who is popularly known as the ‘silent killer’.
