Ghana international Emmanuel Osei Banahene has ended his stay with Turkish second-tier side Saliurfaspor as he seeks a fresh challenge in his career.
The 28-year-old striker joined the GAP Sports Stadium outfit in January this year from Ismaily and netted three goals in seven games as they were relegated from the second-tier.
Banahene who was siad to be unhappy at the club has confirmed that he is leaving as a free agent and will join a new club soon.
“I want to thank the good Lord for the successful end of this season. To the management and players of Sanliurfaspor FC in Turkey, I thank you all for the patience and confidence you had in me and I am glad I was able to make you happy with my goals and contributions to the team,” Banahene posted on his official Facebook page.
“I now look forward to a new challenge ahead of the coming season as a free player, I will sign for my new club next,”
Manisaspor and Superlig side Konyaspor are said to be interested in the left-footed attacker.
