Six matches were honoured on Friday afternoon as the Ghana Premier League moved into it’s seventeenth (17) week.
The biggest win on the afternoon was recorded at the Accra Sports Stadium as Coach Frank Nutall masterminded a revival for Hearts of Oak in a 4 – 0 mauling of relegation threatened Bolga All Stars.
The Phobians who suffered a 5 – 0 defeat last week against WAFA were quick on the field, grabbing all four within 51 minutes of game action. A brace from in-form defender Vincent Atinga and Kwame Kizito won the day for Hearts.
While Bolga All Stars were making their way to the bottom of the log, a revived AshGold pulled off a miracle at the Tarkwa & Aboso Park as Medeama lost by a lone goal to the miners.
Defender Richard Ocran scored his third goal in two appearances as C. K Akonnor’s revival seem to be working to plan. AshGold have now won three of their last four games, drawing against reigning champions Wa All Stars in Wa.
AshGold lie 14th, a spot above Tema Youth who have a game in hand against Great Olympics on Saturday.
In other results, Dansoman based Liberty Professionals were held at home by league leaders WAFA in a goalless draw while Wa All Stars recorded a 3 – 0 win over Berekum Chelsea.
Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs defeated Bechem United by a lone goal while Inter Allies also defeated Elmina Sharks 2 – 0.
