Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei will return to newly promoted Italian Serie A side Benevento for the 2017/2018 season.

The former Fiorentina Primavera skipper was one of the key players in the set up of La Stregoni making 52 appearances and scoring twice before he went on loan to Lega Promo side Ancona this ended season.

Manager Marco Baroni is assembling all his good materials for the tough and demanding Serie A next season and the Ghanaian will feature very well in his plans.

Agyei has enormous experience at the highest level having made his Serie A debut for Fiorentina on May 16, 2010 in a match against Bari when he replaced Marco Donadel in the second half and will be one of the players Baroni will count on.

He is expected to report to Benevento for their pre-season later this month.
