Ghana Striker Lawson Bekui is relishing a move to an European Club after shining in the Omani League with Champions Al Dhofar.
Bekui, was the star man of the boss team netting 17 goals in 22 appearances as the Salalah-based club won the league trophy for the first time in ten years and also reached the domestic cup final.
The former Dreams FC striker is convinced that he has gotten the needed exposure and now has to move to Europe as he seeks a new challenge and also get to the top of his game.
“The Omani league is not bad but I think I have done enough and I have to seek for a new challenge which will enhance my chances for a Black Stars call up,” Bekui told Footballmadeinghana.com
“Not many Ghanaians are playing in the Gulf region so the national team coaches do not look there much. I must get to Europe, prove my self and look forward to a national team call up,”
“I am treated like a king in Oman and the fans love me so much. I have three more years left on my contract so if I do not get any deal in Europe, I will continue with my club,”
Bekui was named as his club’s player of the season for 2016/2017.
