Ghana midfielder Yussif Raman Chibsah is confident that his side Benevento will beat Carpi on Thursday when the two sides lock horns at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito for the second leg of the final Serie A play off game.
The Stregoni recorded a goalless draw in the first leg in Carpi and the Ghanaian enforcer is hopeful they can beat the visitors in the return leg as they eye qualification to the Serie A just twelve years after the club was reformed.
Chibsah who is on loan from Sassuolo netted the decisive goal which dumped Perugia out in the semi finals and he is optimistic that they can pull a win again though Carpi will not come easy.
“I want to help Benevento get to the Serie A and I know we can do that. I know the game will not be easy but with the help of our fans we can get the win to qualify,” Chibsah told footballmadeinghana.com
“We drew 1-1 with them at their home and beat them 3-0 here all in the league this season but we cannot rely on that since knockout games and deciders are different. They are a very difficult team to play so we must go all out,”
“We are preparing well for the game since any form of win will see us qualifying for the Serie A”
The Ghanaian has played 41 games for Benevento in all competition this year scoring six goals and providing one assist.
