El-Maqassa have confirmed their interest in signing Ghanaian striker John Antwi permanently.
The 24-year-old joined the Fayoum-based club on loan from giants Al Ahly.
The El-Maqassa board is happy with the output of the Ghanaian who has scored seven goals in his short spell at the club.
Maqassa are in the market looking for a striker as the permanent replacement to fellow Ghanaian Nana Poku who was sold to UAE club Al Shabab.
And it appears John Antwi has convinced enough to be the one big summer signing.
“In the last season 15 players including top scorer in the middle of the season Nana Poku left, and we have earmarked John Antwi, to be his replacement,” El-Maqassa director Walid Howaidy said.
John Antwi has scored a combined tally of 16 goals this season.
He even scored earlier in the week against his mother club Al Ahly in a 2-2 draw that saw the Cairo-based giants crowned champions of the Egyptian top flight.
