Striker Elvis Manu feels his call up to the Ghana national team has overly delayed.
The 23-year-old has been waiting in futility for a call up to the Black Stars since switching nationality back in 2015.
Manu had featured at various youth stages for the Dutch national team.
He however opted to play senior national team football for the country of his parental heritage.
This dream of playing for Ghana is however yet to materialize and the Brighton and Hove Albion player feels this has delayed for far too long.
“I think, my invitation to the national team has delayed,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com.
“When I was playing at Feyenoord, I was 21 then and I was playing the Champions League and scoring goals and from the moment up until now I have not had my chance.
“So I really think it has delayed.”
