Accra Hearts of Oak’s administrative manager Hackman Aidoo has confirmed that there is no official communication from the Sports Ministry nor the National Sports Authority concerning the immediate closure of the Accra sports stadium.

Reports are rife in the Ghanaian Media that the national stadium will be closed down for renovations but the Phobians are yet to be briefed authoritatively.

“We have heard that the stadium will be closed but no one has told us anything officially. We sent two people to the National Sports Authority but again their was no official confirmation,” Aidoo told Footballmadeinghana.com

“We are awaiting for official confirmation before taking any decision as where to play our home matches,”

The Accra Sports Stadium which has been the home grounds of the Phobians for years has not seen any renovation since 2008.
