Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah has joined English League One club AFC Wimbledon, FootballMadeInGhana.com can confirm.

The 26-year-old becomes the first summer signing for Wimbledon and will be arriving from Crystal Palace on a permanent move for an undisclosed fee.

Appiah’s move will be made official on July 1.

The striker struggled to establish himself since signing for Crystal Palace in 2012.

He has been sent out on loan to several clubs including Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Notts County and reading.

He has been in Norway with Viking since March in another loan stint.

Appiah was part of Ghana’s squad at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
