Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu says widespread reports claiming he has been handed a driving ban are false.
The 23-year-old is reported to have been slapped with a six-month driving ban in the UK for motor offenses.
Manu is also said to have attracted additional fines for his offenses.
But the Brighton and Hove Albion striker who is just returning from a loan spell at Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles insists these reports which are widely circulated are not true.
“I don’t know where these stories are coming from. They’re not true,” he toldFootballMadeInGhana.com in an extensive interview.
“I wasn’t even in England when these incidence where said to have happened. I was in Holland.
“So I really don’t know where these reports are coming from.”
The former Feyenoord hitman is set to return to the UK this week to discuss his future at Brighton and Hove who have just been promoted to a he Premier League.
