Dreams FC moved back to the top of the Ghana National Division One Zone Three League with a convincing 1-0 win over visiting Kotoku Royals at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu.

Substitute Michael Sarpong netted the only goal of the game with a superb strike in the 70th minute as Dreams FC continued their winning streak at home in the league.

Dreams FC started the game brightly and missed three clear chances in the space of ten minutes through Eric Gawu and Sharani Zuberu.

The midfield of the home side made up of George Dwubeng, Benjamin Ayim and skipper Leonard Owusu took control of the game as Dreams FC started to play some excellent possessive football.

Benjamin Ayim found Rashid Sani with an extraordinary curving pass but the attacker could not finish off as his effort in the 30th minute sailed over the bar.

Eric Gawu was beautifully set up by skipper Leonard Owusu but the striker could not direct his shot well as his strike missed target.

Dreams FC remained on top as the referee blew his whistle for the end of the first department of the game.
Manager Karim Zito brought on Michael Sarpong for the injured Eric Gawu as Dreams FC continued to push for the opener.

Ayim continued to be a handful for the Kotoku Royals players with his artistry, dribbling and visionary passes. The youngster broke loose through the middle in the 65th minute dribbling three opponents before unleashing a fierce strike from 25-yards which was saved in the 65th minute.

The deadlock was broken in the 70th minute as Michael Sarpong connected an exquisite cross from the wings which hit the up right before crossing the line goal line.

Samuel Alabi Borquaye came in for skipper Leonard Owusu as Dreams FC begun to vary their tactics.

Kotoku Royals came strongly into the game in the last 20 minutes missing three glaring chances as Dreams FC maintained their 1-0 win.

Dreams FC are now having 38 points and are leading the log with their closest rivals being Heart of Lions who are second with 37 points.
