Sports Director of FC Midtjylland Claus Steinlein has hailed the club’s acquisition of Michael Baidoo, describing the Ghanaian as a ‘modern midfielder’.
Baidoo joined the Danish club after excelling on trial.
He was eligible to sign his first professional contract on Monday when he turned 18.
The former Ghana youth international has been tipped for a great future at Midtjylland having captain second tier Ghanaian club Vision FC.
And Sporting Director of Midtjyland Claus Steinlein in convinced about the talent of Baidoo to fit into the modern trend of the game.
“Michael plays mature in midfield and has a good eye for the game and a good understanding of the game,” said Steinlein.
“He he has a good kick and a good technique. He is a modern midfielder with several facets of his game.
“Michael has had trials and done very well. It is rare, we have seen a young player control reserve team matches and been so dominant in the fighting, as he has been.”
Midtjylland won the race to sign Baidoo in the midst of interests from other clubs especially in Germany when word first got out of his immense talent.
He becomes the second major transfer from Vision FC within a year following the departure of Sulley Saddam to Legia Warsaw.
