Ghanaian striker Abdul Khalid Basit has credited his surge in form at Prishtina to his coach Arsim Thaqi.
Basit has been a sensation in the second half of the Kosovo Superliga – scoring 12 goals in 15 games.
The former Dreams FC striker arrived in Kosovo last summer where he managed nine goals in 15 appearances in the first half of the season.
Basit has been on an impressive goal scoring run in the second half of the season where he has now scored in eight consecutive games for 2nd placed Prishtina.
The teenager however refuses to bask in the glory of his hot form alone, attributing it to the direct tutelage of his coach Arsim Thaqi.
“The coach came in and immediately identified me as a big prospect,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com in an exclusive interview.
“He told me I needed to add certain things to my game and therefore began holding special training sessions with me.
“I now know for sure that my form is purely based on the extra work I have been doing aside the special grace of God.”
