Zambia legend Kalusha Bwalya believes Ghana has what it takes to win the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup.
This was revealed by the chairman of the Black Starlets management team, Opoku Nti.
Bwalya who is now Chairman of the CAF Technical and Development Committee was wowed by the explosive start of the Black Starlets at the 2017 CAF U17 Nations Cup were Ghana trounced Cameroon 4-0 in the second Group A match.
And even though Ghana is yet to seal qualification to the world Cup which will be staged later this year in India, the former Zambia captain has been impressed enough to tip the talented Ghanaian side to conquer the world.
“I spoke to Kalusha[Bwalya] after the match and he even went ahead to predict that we can win the World Cup,” Opoku Nti revealed.
“I am tempted to believe him because clearly from the onset, this Ghana U17 team looks very special.
“Even though its early days yet, I am very confident that this team will go very very far to make all of us proud.”
Ghana will be hoping to seal qualification to the World Cup with a win over host nation Gabon on Wednesday before finishing off their group campaign against Guinea.
