Bechem United defender Abdul Bashiru is excited with his Black Stars B call up and has promised to do his best for the team.
The left-back who is on loan at the 2016 Ghana FA Cup champions is one of the senior players in the team having earned his first call up in 2010.
Bashiru is seen as a potential Black Stars A material and he is eager to work hard in the B team during the WAFU Tournament.
“I am very happy with the call up, it is everybody’s dream to represent his country and I am glad for the opportunity. I will continue to do my best in the team” Bashiru told footballmadeinghana.com
“Every player who has been called deserves it. Each player is doing well in his club and it is going to be for the team”
“Personally this season is not bad for me at Bechem United, but I will try and do more in the second round,” he added.
Bashiru was nominated for the Ghana Premier League player of the season last year.
