Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte is ready to bring back defender Abdul Rahman Baba to Stamford Bridge despite interest from Schalke 04 and newly-promoted EPL side Newcastle.
Baba was sent on loan to Schalke before the start of the new season but with Chelsea set to feature in four different competitions next season, the Mirror claims Conte is looking forward to bring the lateral defender back to London as he seeks to build a big squad for the task ahead.
The Ghana international was bought by then Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2015 for an initial fee of £14million rising to £22million and had a couple of games for the Blues that season.
The 22-year-old is currently nursing a knee injury but is expected to feature in the Blues pre-season games.
